Odenton, Cub Scout Pack
Welcome to the
CUB SCOUT
TALENT SHOW
Monday, April 22nd, 2002
Scouting is not an abstruse or difficult science:
rather it is a jolly game, if you take it in the right light. In the same time
it is educative and (like mercy), it is apt to benefit he that giveth as well as
him who receives.
-- Sir Robert Baden-Powell, 1920
Well we had a great time at this year's
talent night. Unfortunately, Ms. Amy couldn't make it but Ms. Louise and Ms. Jane
did a wonderful job coordinating the event. A VERY BIG THANK YOU goes to Ms.
Louise Hansen for all her hard work planning, hosing and leading this event. She
did a great job!!!!
The events went like this: (click
on each link to see photos of each den)
- The presenting of the Colors and the Pledge of
Allegiance was done by DEN 2
- DEN 10 : Our Wolves performed an
American Indian Prayer of Thanksgiving complete with drums, vets, necklaces
and scenery they made.
- DEN 4 : Our Bears performed a Freaky
Fashion Show, the very latest fashions as modeled by six Bear Cubs.
- DEN 8 : Our Wolves performed Phoenix
and his "Amazing Cartwheels", Dylan, Rhett, and Alex doing
the "Macarena", Nicholas playing a song on the piano and a
skit called the "Echoes"
- DEN 5 : Our Tigers performed a pack
sing along to the tune of "If You're Happy and You Know It".
- We took a Beaver Break and recognized Cory
James of DEN 7 for his accomplishments in the God and Me program.
- DEN 7 : Our Webelos performed 2 short
skits: "Firing Squad" followed by "Gone Fishin'".
- DEN 1 : Our Tigers performed the "Lemonade"
skit.
- DEN 2 : Our Bears performed "Where
the Wild Things Are", a story by Maurice Sebndak, acted out by our
Bears with scenery and masks made by the den.
- The Scouts stood up and thanked their leaders
with a song.
- The adults sung a James Taylor song, "You've
Got a Friend"
- DEN 2 retired the colors.
- There was snacks and juice afterwards where
folks got to mingle.
Thank you to
everyone who came and the tremendous support you all showed for our scouts. It
wasn't easy for them to get up in front of all those people and perform but they
did. Everyone showed great creativity and were very entertaining.
